Scott Carver, CEO and Co-Founder of the onWater App, is a dedicated angler, entrepreneur, fishing industry veteran, and technology industry innovator. With more than 40 years of executive-level management experience in both insurance technology and the outdoor recreation industry, Scott’s passion for fishing and technology fuels the vision for the onWater app and digital platform.

Scott is the founder and majority owner of the Madison Valley Ranch, one of the preeminent guest ranches in the Rocky Mountains. The Madison Valley Ranch is an Orvis Endorsed, full-service guest ranch located in Ennis, Montana and recently won the prestigious Orvis Endorsed Lodge of the Year.

Prior to onWater, Scott founded and built two of the most acclaimed human resource and insurance technology firms in the United States. Most recently, Venture and private equity-backed PlanSource was acquired by Vista Equity Partners. In 2002, his angel-backed company, SYLINQ, was acquired by Fortune 500 Company, Ceridian. Scott retired from PlanSource in May 2019. In addition to his success in the technology business, Scott has been married to his wife Lisa for 40 years. They have lived in Colorado that entire time and have been part of the Sage Creek community since 2002. They have two grown children and a son in law and fish and ski whenever they can.
