Jay Zimmerman has been tying flies and chasing carp since he was a child. He has worked in the fly-fishing industry for many years as a guide, casting and fly-tying instructor, fly-shop manager, and commercial fly designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants.
His signature pattern, the Backstabber, is one of Umpqua’s top-selling carp patterns. He currently works at Charlie’s Fly Box in Arvada, Colorado.
