Pacific Coast Flies & Fly Fishing
The Pacific Coast offers fly fishers a wealth of angling opportunities from Alaska to the tip of Baja California. Scott Sadil's recent book Pacific Coast Flies & Fly Fishing covers many of the proven flies to use for trout, salmon, steelhead, and both inshore and bluewater species and how to fish them. Join us to learn about some of these popular fly patterns, their use, and a bit of history about how they came to be.

Since building his first wooden boat a decade ago and sailing it from Astoria, Oregon, to Lewiston, Idaho, Sadil has also published extensively about boatbuilding and boating adventures for Small Craft Advisor and Water Craft, in the UK. He launched his fourth boat, Tamalita, a 6 meter lugger, this past fall, and while his work for Gray’s takes him to destination fishing worldwide, Sadil treasures his time searching for wild fish throughout the West and along the shores of the Eastern Pacific.
