Presley Garcia
Fly Fisher, Guide, Fly Tier
Born and raised in Colorado’s San Luis Valley, Presley Garcia has long called the Rio Grande home. While fishing has always been a part of life, it wasn’t until college that fly fishing entered the picture—one cast with a fly rod, and he was hooked for good.
Driven by a passion for helping others, he pursued a career in education, earning his bachelor’s degree from Adams State University. Today, he works as a dedicated special education teacher. When school is out—whether it’s summer, weekends, or holidays—he trades the classroom for the river, guiding on the Rio Grande and other southwestern waters, sharing his deep love for fly fishing with others.
With a lifetime of experience fishing the Rio Grande drainage, he still finds each day on the water a learning opportunity. When not guiding, he can be found casting a line on his favorite Colorado streams, camping, teaching, or enjoying time with his wife and their three children. Grateful to live, work, and fish in a place he loves, he considers it a true privilege to share it with others.
