ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Ryan Keyes works as a Recreation Therapist at the Grand Junction Veterans Administration Medical Center. He works directly with Project Healing Waters to provide therapeutic fly-fishing and fly-tying opportunities for disabled veterans. Ryan’s love for fly fishing began in the San Juan Mountains where he spent the majority of his time untangling knots and retrieving his flies from trees. Ryan now spends his spare time designing innovative fly patterns and tying commercially for local fly shops in Colorado.
