A WORD FROM PHIL
Fly tying for me just keeps getting more interesting. It seems that the more I study the insects I'm trying to replicate the more attention I pay to our environment. Oh and of course I'm always trying to make the magic fly...the one the fish just can't resist."
It was interesting to watch how meticulous Phil Rowley was when he tied these flies. From the careful selection of the materials to actually tying the fly, this veteran Fly Tying Instructor transfixes you as he ties flies that are extremely successful for the Stillwater environment. Phil takes his time to explain the reasons behind every step and choice he makes while tying 18 of his most popular and effective Stillwater Flies.
On this DVD we also include video shots of the insects we are imitating so you can learn their anatomy in order to visually study what makes a successful fly.
The flies that are incuded on this DVD are:
Black Sally (Chironomid Pupa)
Collaborator (Clearwater Style Chironomid Pupa)
Mohair Blood Leech
Foam Sprawler (Dragon Nymph)
Furry Foam Dragon
Turkey Quill Callibaetis
Watch as Phil shows and explains to you every detailed step you need to know to build these potent stillwater flies. Learn why he chooses specific materials and learn how to apply them effectively.
This DVD was shot in the same style as our popular CDROM series the difference being that you are able to play this product on your television DVD player or your PC if you have the appropriate DVD software.
