If you’ve always wanted to know about what it’s like to be a guide tune in to this show. Zach will give you the inside scoop on getting your first job, living like a guide, the great times you will have and the not so great time you may have.
He began fly fishing at the age of 12 on the Truckee River in downtown Reno. Zach landed a guide job in southwest Colorado while in college and spent the off seasons living in various vehicles while chasing trout across the west. He progressed to Montana after 1988 Suburban breakdown during a 3 month road trip led to permanent residence. He also worked in Alaska and several seasons in Patagonia-Chile.
Zach currently resides in Missoula, Montana on the Bitterroot River. When he isn’t connecting employers with guides, he is tying flies, fishing, hunting or hiking exploring the backcountry with his dog.
