Bryan Whiting was fun to listen to. It's been a long time since my wife and I were in Alaska and I look forward to going back. I do want to mention that Talkeetna, Alaska is another great spot to get guides and other needs as well.

Great information Bryan!, and your are absolutely correct - charge the trip if you have to! I've only been to Kodiak once, but it was worth every red cent!

★★★★★
Excellent program! Informative, great insight, real life, it's apparent he's obtained this experience "firsthand". I could have listened to this show for another hour and a half.. or more and submitted even more questions.

Yet another great show, Roger. a regular guy that has fished all his life, has a family that is very important to him, obviously. a very "accessible" show and guest with very good insight into going to a difficult, yet beautiful place to experience nature.

It is a trip I would like to make and any information you can gather to help make my trip plans is helpful. I thought Bryan did a nice job of explaining the steps he went through in making his plans and some of the pitfalls to avoid.

I enjoyed listening to Bryan's take on Alaska trip planning. Planning a big trip can be scary. It is challenging for many of us to balance available time with available money and expectations. Brian provided some great details. I was fortunate to be hired by Bryan as his family's guide on the Upper Kenai and am looking forward to seeing him in July. The best thing about planning a fishing trip is knowing that you are going fishing. I hope you all have a good one.

★★★★★
Great show - it was so different. A guy just like the rest of us who has Alaska travel experience. Could you find someone who's driven, that sounds interesting.

I am extremly lucky to live in a place that has rivers and streams and Iam close to Oregon and Sacramento and the Pacific Ocean. I have be flyfishing exclisvley only a shot time. and your shows give me not only a good education but you answer the what when and how. The last show on nyphing realy helped me out. I tie my own flies and nyphs and steamers and drys. I have been truly motivated to emerse myself in this fly fishing and I try to get out to the Truckee River right after a show to practice what I have heard and to actualy do it, Thanks you so much for the wondrful information keep up the good work .

I'm a big fan of the show. A friend of mine forwarded a link to me a couple of months ago and I have been listening ever since. I do most of my fly fishing in northern Michigan exploring the AuSable and Upper Mainstee river systems.

★★★★★
I listened to the recorded show and enjoyed it a great deal. I like and think his idea of thinking like a fish is probably the best advise anyone can give you. Eric did a good job of explaining his techniques.
- John Matthews

★★★★★
Good show. Brian answered a lot of questions I've had about Alaska fishing and trip planning. When investing thousands of dollars for a "trip of a lifetime" it helps to get it right the first time. This podcast helped that process.

I just listened to the Bryan Whiting and the Alaska planning he did. It was great and helps with me to plan such a trip sometime in the near future. Thanks.

★★★★★
How nice to have a show from someone who wasn't trying to convince us to buy their "something" whether it be book, equipment, flies, or trip. This made Bryan's information all the more valid. Maybe because he was just a regular fisherman like the rest of us, the show was also more entertaining. His personal anecdotes not only made a point but were entertaining.

What a great show. The only problem was I got the feeling you both ran out of time. There seemed to be several areas you just mentioned and then didn't have time to expand upon. What neophytes learn is far more important to us than what the expert knows. The expert takes for granted those things the first timer doesn't understand. I am sure there was a lot about trip hints and fishing hints which would be of value. How about another show to add those.
