Excellent show. Rick shared alot of great tips. I will be visiting Texas & the Laguna Madre soon and hope to apply his tips and catch even more fish this time. Thanks for taking your time to answer our questions.

I am impressed about Rick's guiding ability with 50 or 60 chances to catch fish. Also he goes the extra mile by putting a novice caster on fish and the fisherman catching 42 fish during that outing. I would have tipped him $100 or $200 dollars. No guide that I know will tie their skiff up to themselves at the stern and walk the skiff thru the flats while the wind was blowing to put a client on to fish. Great Job Rick!

Great show answered my question at great length. Rick seems to be a down to earth person and wants to save it.

Rick Hartman did an excellent job of providing good information to listeners. It is obvious he knows the Texas coast and what he says about the conditions, how and when to fish there is right on. He also has good delivery and is pleasant to listen to. If I can afford a guide, I would definitely contact him. Gary

Good thought of shallow water and weeds. Keep it on top in weeds..or a bit shallow and on the bottom as if a scared food source in the shallow sandy spots...great input.

Great show! I found the broadcast most informative. I have enjoyed others in the past and even though I do not salt water fish I may give it a try now. The broadcast was truly excellent.

It was a great show. I especially love his stoy that happened ten years ago. When he talked about a client that was a novice flycaster. What he said he did in the wind by getting out of the boat and tying himself to the stern and walking his way to the fish and that his client caught 42 fish. Also I am impressed with the amount of species that can be caught in the area. I knew of tarpon, flounder & trout or weakfish but all the others was a surprise to me. He gave a lot of hint in how to catch the redfish. This is only my second show live I have listen to and if I do not have to work on the 3rd of Feb. I will listen to part two of Brian Chan's show. I have been listening to the archives show and it help me with an understanding about a few questions that I had with the local waters where I fish especially for carp.

I have been fly fishing on the Texas Coast since 1985 before the Salt Water Fishing craze took off. The show was informative and gave a good synopsis of Texas Costal fishing. The information was on the mark and accurate.

Great show.I'am didn't think I would be excited about sea water fishing. You've peaked my interest.I've notice though that the basic principles in fly fishing are the same.I would love to try rousting red fish in Texas, it's sounds alot like cutthroat or coho fishing in backwater or slough like conditions on the Fraser or Chilliwackriver and area.

★★★★★
Great show !!!! It was informative, concise and to the point, unlike other pod casts that seem to waste your time with nonsense. I did appreciate you answering my question submitted prior to the show, just sorry I was working during the live cast. Rick Hartman knows his stuff. Please keep the great work up. Luis.

Really great show. After the first show with Brian, I bought his Tying & Fishing Stillwaters. Once of the best I have. This show was like the icing on the cake. I really enjoy your shows and have downloaded all your episodes onto my iphone. My only complaint is the time it takes to get to iTunes. Keep up the great work. I really like the diversity of guests you have. I'm not a saltwater fisherman, but you've peaked my interest in red fish so I am going to try it this summer in NC.
