“This an excellent media for learning about the sport of fly fishing. I enjoy the dialogue between both parties, and will continue to listen. Thanks for the enjoyment.”
“Well I am going to listen to the show tomorrow my internet connection get going in and out. But what I heard from it is informative, especially retrieval of chironomids. I mostly in my life fished rivers and streams with sinking lines. It appears here that the leader and a slow sinking action is what is needed. I love the fact that he let us know how fast to retrieve the fly through the different water columns. In fast water there is a lot of mending.”
“I thought Part II was better than Part I because there were a wider diversity of questions. "Word" must have got around that Brian was "on". I've known Brian for quite a number of years, now, but I am still amazed at how willing he is to SHARE his vast knowledge with anyone. You get an indication of how truly humble he is, when you ask him about HIS books and DVDs and he talks about Rick Takahashi's !!! So much like Brian really is. Better get him back for Part III and finish those other 6 pages of questions!!”
“I fish those lakes with the bomber chironamids.I plan one of my many fly fishing vactions around this hatch in late july early august.I noticed he didn't mention the christmas tree chironamid [blood worm] when speaking to you.Once you start fly fishing BC lakes it is hard to stop.Look up www.fishbc.com, you won't be sorry. It's hard to stay on the lakes when the salmon start running on the Fraser in the summer then in the fall and winter on the Chilliwack/Vedder river for coho, spring and steelhead. Brian is a very smart man as well as nick basok I've learnt lots from both of them. You should check out both of them on you tube. By the way I love your show it's great. Tight lines.”
“I liked Brian's comment on the "Booby Fly" ... 'caution, the fish tend to take the Booby deep so shorten your hook' (this is true) and 'it seems that mostly males are attracted to the booby fly' (probably true also) hmmm... good wording in the answers Brian...lolol”
“The Part II broadcast was even better than the first. More diversified questions, more in depth questions, I think the audience had time (from Part I) to realize what the incredibly high quality of Brian's responses were going to be. Two broadcasts, and STILL 3-4 more pages of questions left?? You better make Brian a REGULAR guest ! ”
“I wasn't able to hear the broadcast live, I did however listen to the rebroadcast. The show was excellent and he didn't seem to hold anything back. Very informative!”
“Great show...enjoyed the questions and comments...first time I've had a chance to listen and the dialogue format is enjoyable. Will definitely listen again....I'm ready for the water to get right in Arkansas for some good wade fishing...”
“Excellent show! One of the best. Brian is the BC interior lakes guru and we all should pay close attention to what he says if we want to approach BC lake fishing intelligently.”
“I missed the live show so no questions from me. But I downloaded the .mp3 and listened to the show twice on the flight home. Man, does Mr. Chan know his stuff!”
“I found the program very informative, Brian is a very good teacher and the questions that were asked were very good it was a pity that it did not last longer and covered more, overall a great show.
”
“First episode was great, really informatitive. Haven't heard the second as they take a long time to appear on iTunes (which I use to keep my podcasts organised).”
“I thought that the show was very informative and it is always a pleasure to listen to people who willingly share knowledge and are able to do so in a manner that commands attention. Brian Chan is one such person.Well done.”
“I learned more about how to fish lakes from listening to Brian Chan in this one broadcast than I have in five years surfing the internet. Thanks to all who have worked so hard to make this information so easily available.
”
“I thought it was a very good show with a lot of very good information on chironomiding for trout. I have saved both part I and II to my computer for future reference.”
“It was very informative. It answered alot of questions that I had. The show also taught me how to understand a new body of water. In other words this and the first show has taught me how to be a better angler.”
“Brian Chan's program's answered so many questions I had about improving my Stillwater fishing. I believe Brian is the top authority of Stillwater fishing. Brian has that unique ability to share his knowledge and expertise in a way that anyone can understand and apply on their next Stillwater fishing adventure. I can't wait to get on a lake and apply what I have learned from Brian's programs. ”
“I was very happy to listen to this pair of recordings. The combination of managing fisheries and angler leads to interesting insights that come through in the interviews. More please !!!
