Description
This is our chance & our honor to highlight this incredible resource in its current pristine state & attempt to answer - which is a more valuable resource; the self-sustaining runs of salmon that have enriched the local environment & fisherman (sport, commercial, & subsistence) for 1000s of years or the 300 billion dollars worth of gold, copper & molybdenum buried at the headwaters of the watershed.
We partnered with Alaska's Trout Unlimited last summer and spent 68 days in Alaska's Bristol Bay following the world's largest run of sockeye salmon as they moved from the tidal waters to their natural spawning grounds within the footprint of the largest proposed gold and copper mine in North America.
