Description
Edited and with an Introduction and Afterword by Stephen Sloan; Paintings & drawings by James Prosek.
As intimate and as compelling as listening in on personal, privileged conversations, Fly Fishing is Spoken Here provides a revealing view of some of the finest angling writers and artists of our time. This is a richly varied collection of live radio interviews from "The Fishing Zone," a nationally-syndicated program featuring conversations with James Prosek, Ernest Schwiebert, Joseph Heywood, Valerie Haig-Brown, Joseph Humphreys, Fen Montaigne, and Robert Linsenman among others. Each discusses in detail their respective crafts, techniques, and research and writing methods, and because of the immediacy of the live conversational format, the reader experiences alkl the nuances of style, personality and drive that have made these anglers the very best at what they do.
Each interview is hosted by Stephen Sloan, himself an accomplished angler, and the book is illustrated with many original paintings and drawings by the subject of the first featured interview, James Prosek. This book is being published in an edition of only 750 copies and all will be signed by both the editor and illustrator and beautifully bound and slipcased. It is an important book.
A deluxe edition of the 36 numbered copies will be issued by the publisher at a later date featuring an original watercolor by James Prosek.
