The FlyFishing Retailer 2006 Show, held August 24-26, 2006 in Denver, Colorado, was like opening day of trout season. More than 2,700 of the fly fishing industry’s business people converged on Denver for the show, creating a business environment overflowing with enthusiasm and energy.
Manufacturers come to this show to display their new products and existing lineups to the industry. Fly shop owners and managers, guides and pro staff members spend three days exploring the booths, viewing demonstrations and classes trying to see and absorb as much as they can at this annual industry event before placing their orders for the next season.
We took advantage of this extravaganza to interview several random manufacturers about the new products they were debuting and we did our best to highlight a variety that would interest you. We have not used any of the items discussed, and some are not yet available, so no personal endorsement is implied.
